Retrieving Cost and Usage Report AWS

To retrieve the cost and usage report from your AWS environment you have to follow these steps:
1. Firstly, go to the billing section (e.g. by searching "Billing" in the top search bar).
2. Go to "Cost & Usage reports" in the left bar.
3. Click the "Create report" button at the top.
4. Enter a name for the report.
5. Ensure that the tickboxes for "Additional report details" and "Data Refresh settings" are ON.
6. Next, configure an S3 bucket to save your cost and usage report to. (Configure > Create bucket > Fill out name > Choose the appropriate region > Review & Confirm > Save)
7. Set Report versioning to "Overwrite existing report" and include a Prefix name in the Prefix field.
8. Review details and click on "Review and complete". 
NOTE: This report may take up to 24 hours te generate. 
10. Go to the "S3" section (e.g. by searching "S3" in the top search bar).
11. Select the S3 bucket that you have created in the previous steps, the report will be in this bucket once it has been generated.
