CloudBilling's CSP connector has been updated to support Azure Marketplace and Azure Software Subscriptions. This addition makes it easier to invoice your customers for the usage of Marketplace and Software Subscriptions by automating the manual work that was previously required to invoice the products.
What has been changed?
As an addition to our functionality, the CloudBilling CSP connector now supports Azure Marketplace and Azure Software Subscriptions.
How does this functionality work?
The CloudBilling CSP connector can be set up for Azure Marketplace and Azure Software Subscriptions enabling the transfer of usage from Microsoft to CloubBilling. There are two connector settings, one is the measuring connector that measures usage and the other is the products and pricing connector that retrieves price, quantity and sum. This addition enables automation of billing your customers for Azure Marketplace and Azure Software Subscriptions and will replace the manual work that was previously required to bill the products.
How can you start using this functionality?
This feature has been available since September 2022 and is ready to use in your environment. This functionality is part of the CSP connector and can be activated by yourself by activating the settings for Marketplace and Software Subscriptions in the Microsoft CSP connector settings. Be sure to check if the manual processes that are in place to invoice these products don't interfere with the new automated billing process.
