What will change?
A new feature has been added to the 'Advanced' section of pricing rules. It is called 'Product Application Level' and can be used to apply a single pricing rule to multiple products or product categories.
Why make this change?
The feature will be beneficial in simplifying and customising price plans.
How does this functionality work?
The ProductApplication Level allows a user to determine whether the pricing rule will be applied to the selected product cluster ("Self"), the child categories of this product cluster ("Child Categories") or all products underneath the selected cluster ("Children").
It is an advanced feature that could have very far-reaching consequences if misused. We therefore strongly advice against utilising it without prior communication with a CloudBilling Consultant. How can you start using this functionality?
The feature has been activated on May 1st 2024 and is currently present on all pricing rules in your environment.
