We’re introducing automatic suspension and deletion of inactive users
Modified on Tue, 27 Oct at 9:48 AM
To strengthen access control in CloudBilling, we are introducing automatic suspension and deletion of inactive users. Users who have not logged in to CloudBilling or a customer portal for 6 months will be suspended automatically. After a further 6 months of suspension, they will be deleted permanently.
Why we’re making this change
Inactive accounts often belong to people who have left an organisation or changed roles, and misuse of such an account may go unnoticed. By removing dormant accounts, we reduce the number of ways into your data and ensure that access reflects who actually works with CloudBilling today. We are implementing this measure as a preventive step, as part of our ongoing commitment to platform security.
What this means for you
You will always receive a warning first. Users with access to an active environment will receive a warning email 30 days before their account is suspended, and another before it is deleted. Logging in once is enough to keep an account active.
Suspended users can no longer log in, including to the customer portals. CloudBilling can reinstate a suspended user.
Deletion is permanent and removes the user from all environments and user groups. Only their name remains in the audit trail, so entries such as “[user name] requested approval” stay complete.
Do you have questions?
Contact our support team by submitting a ticket through our support portal, or by emailing support@cloudbilling.nl. If a user was inadvertently suspended, let us know and we will reinstate the account.
