We are introducing an improved way to develop, test, and publish changes to invoice templates. With our new DTAP flow for managed templates, template updates can be handled in an even more controlled, transparent, and secure way.
When a template change is needed, we first create a separate preview version in your CloudBilling environment. This preview uses your own tenant and data, but has no impact on live invoicing. This allows you to review the change safely before it is published.
Templates can still be downloaded from the CloudBilling tenant by users with admin rights. Uploading managed templates directly to the tenant is no longer possible; updates are published through the managed DTAP flow after review and approval.
The key benefits:
- You can review changes safely before they go live.
- Live templates are only updated after your explicit approval.
- Every change is tracked and reviewed.
- Publication to production is handled automatically and consistently.
For you, the review process remains simple: you receive a link to the preview in CloudBilling, check whether the template is correct, and provide either approval or feedback. Any feedback is processed in the same preview until everything is as expected. Only then is the change published to the live template.
This new way of working helps us manage template changes in an even more reliable and transparent way, while keeping the flexibility you are used to.
